 Insofar that schools are vehicles whereby children prepare themselves for the world they live in, it is important that there exist as few obstructions as possible in the child's educational process. The Agency believes it can contribute to this process by providing a variety of social work services to the school administration, faculty, students and their families.
The purpose of the program is two-fold. One, to help pinpoint potential problems, assess situations, and intervene in a manner whereby interferences with the educational process are lessened. Second, to assist students in learning to cope with stressful life situations in healthy and productive ways. The focus is on both problems that may exist in school and at the student's home.
Also, Grief Counseling and Crisis Intervention is provided for the schools when the need arises. |
